I think a congratulatory card would be nice. I help a 4h-er here in IN. This year her category (7th grade) was a holiday or seasonal item. She made a set of four snowman placemats and got a reserve champion at the county level. I do have a question for you...we have to turn in a skills card with five skills marked (6 starting next year in senior div). Did your girls have to do that? I have looked ahead at the skills and, to be honest, they are more geared to garment sewing rather than quilting. It will be really hard for this young girl to exhibit any kind of a quilt (tee-shirt, raggy, tied, etc) due to that skills list. Just curious.
