I was told to use the cheapest, scratchiest nylon net I could find (Walmart). Made a few (I'm not great at crocheting),
then someone showed me a square one. You sc a rectangle, fold it in half, and sc around it, adding a bit of leftover netting before closing it up to make it "puffy". It looks something like a Brillo pad.
