I use my "Foundation Factory" program to print out paper pieced letters. I get to pick the size I want and can even add the quarter-inch margins if I wish. All the letters are done with straight seams, so there is no chance of "fancy" script. No one who has received one of my personalized quilts has complained about the straight line letters!! If I want to "fancify" something, I use more glam or bling in the letter fabrics. Another benefit is that all the letters in a name will be the same height and width proportions.
