I don't know that there's any "tricks" to get seams to match other than very careful measuring, cutting, and nesting seams.

Thanks, Peckish. There is a tutorial on the board, but the link you gave is much clearer. I think the key to getting good points is lining up the straight edges on the triangle units. I had tried to go the other direction estimating my seam allowance. Thanks, again, the directions provided are very helpful.
