I just had this come up in some cream (Kona calls it eggshell) fabric. I ordered enough for my project and it came in 3 pieces. (Which I approved before it was sent to me, as I didn't think about dye lot. Shame on me) but I will be able to scatter it throughout, as it is background fabric. It is a pain, though and I understand what you're going through.
