I just made my second snap coin purse this week. I used my first one for a couple years and it ripped along the top edge where the ruler is. I had covered the ends of the ruler with masking tape but this was the top that ripped. This time, I wrapped the whole ruler pieces in masking tape and a thin piece of batting so I hope this keeps the fabric from ripping.
