My tech. that helps me when I get in trouble with my FW says to oil the bobbin parts after every other use or so.
Only recently did I discover the same thing but not with FWs. My Pfaff 260 manual says "The raceway in the sewing hook is the most important oiling point" and "a dry raceway will cause rapid wear".
