Salmon are delicious on the plate .... though so ugly in the water.
I think you should have a hook in his mouth .... though being that it is for Baby Bear, maybe his paw should be dipping in!!! Your thread painting along with the fabric has created such realistic water and splashes. So now you are making fabric too!
