I'm sorrry this happened to you. For similar reasons, I do not use credit cards on the internet. We had a card number stolen when we ordered textbooks for our college student... Who would have thought? We spent several months cleaning up the aftermath. Lucky for us, the credit card company had a fraud dept. that caught the problem before it escalated.
Keep checking those credit reports.
