Any tute for hexies will do. There are many on Youtube and I finally settled on Sue Daley's EP Hexie method.
These are hand sewn together just like hexies are. Unless you have strong hands, I don't recommend "pieced" hexies like the single one's center! Should have pressed the seams open - Ouch! I also really liked the link posted by Tapper on this post:
