I've been watching Craigslist for a singer cabinet for nearly a year. One to switch out machines in.
Absolutely NONE of the amazing deals you all seem to get, and in fact none without a machine.
Although I'd have been happy with another machine...
I've also been watching for a 301, aluminium, light enough to be a class machine.
Sadly all I found in the end was a 404... YIPEE! Am mad about it!!!
But still no cabinet.
I've also been running in the goodwill in Longview each trip to town, average 3 times a month. I have never seen a machine cabinet yet, of any flavor.
Until today...the stars shown on me
They had FOUR cabinets, 3 with machines (2 Kenmore, but looked good) from 9.99 to 12.99.
But the fourth one?
Singer? check
compact size? check
Two fold outs? WOW, bonus time!
And the machine? A 301.
$34.99...and today was 50% off all furniture.
I'm so tickled. It is still in the car, I can't lift anything for a couple of week so the only picture I could get would be of its underpants side. Does it run? Don't know, Does it have a bobbin case? Don't know don't care.
Please note, I think the higher price was because the machine included...wait for it...THREAD
About 10 spools, with about 3 inches of thread on each.
