Wow some great ideas here. Heading back to the hardware store, somewhere near the leaf guard are peel and stick floor tiles. If you don't have old cutting mats you can get sticky back floor tiles up to 16" square I think. 14" for sure I've bought them. If you find one with a chipped corner most stores will give you a discount.
