Actually, Singer 301A machine number NA300890 was probably produced some time in 1953.
The Singer 301 model was introduced in 1951, but there were only a few produced. The “Grand Introduction” of the 301 didn’t happen until October 1952, and the “A” was added to the model number in 1953.

Without accurate records available from the Anderson SC Factory (destroyed), the Singer website and current Singer staff can only give 1951 for all Singer 301 and 301A machines. They don’t have any other official information of specific serial number assignment.
