Ooh, that's cool. My mom has a tablecloth that is embroidered like this. I have spent so much time over the years wondering what kind of machine did it - it's clearly hand guided (motifs aren't perfect, and you could still see the pencilled-on guidelines when it was new). I think it's making a 2-thread chainstitch? I'd love to know what model this machine is, too.
The ergonomics of the handle under the table are awful. I guess in 1929 that wasn't a high priority.
