No, it's not just you. I've had the same problem with it. I thought maybe my thread was old, but, if it is, apparently all my cotton thread is old and not usable. I refuse to accept that! I fixed my problem by changing to a 90 needle (I usually prefer a smaller one) and going real slow with my quilting. Also lowered the top tension. The quilt shop told me to put the thread in the freezer to rejuvenate it, but I haven't tried that yet.
