I love my Juki and really really dislike my Janome 6500. My Juki cost me $600 (lightly used) and my Janome was $2100 and the most expensive and frustrating machine I ever purchased. The company finally replaced my Janome (it was defective just as I had told them over a year earlier) and this one works satisfactorily but my Juki sews rings around it. My Juki is heavy, fast and has a beautiful even stitch. It doesn't munch fabric, balk at layers or veer off seams (all things my Janome does). You need to determine why you are buying this machine. If it is for its quilting abilities, the Juki is far better in my opinion.
