Sparky, this fits a queen bed and is square. I got the directions from Jan Krentz's book "Lone Star Quilts and Beyond." It definitely takes time. There is a chart in the book for different sizes and you might be able to make a 12" square, but it would be awfully small pieces.
Thanks for the info. As I was looking at it I figured even if I drew it out I would be working with pieces less than 1 inch. It's a challenging pattern at any size, but a miniature would be impossible unless it would be paper pieced. I have never designed a paper pieced pattern.
