I'm glad you enjoyed seeing my old/new scrappy. Thank you for your comments.

Re-making this quilt gave me a sense of satisfaction. I enjoyed thinking about it. I think that's what I most enjoy about quilting--all the thinking about it--the decisions that have to be made, from choosing a pattern, choosing fabrics, laying them out, choosing colors for borders and binding, etc. And it is sometimes frustrating if I can't decide

Allystitches, it sounds like your little quilt would be a good candidate for a re-do. I probably wouldn't have taken my thrift store quilt apart if it had been a family heirloom or if I knew the person who had made it. But since it was neither in good condition nor an heirloom, I'm glad I took the time to give it a new life.
