I will be hand quilting, hand tying, or a qayg method. As I don't think machine quilting would work with all of the embellishments. As far as the sashing/no sashing, I'm still undecided. Agree that darker will be best if I sash. So I've put sashing off for now, and I'm concentrating on finishing the embellishments.
As far as the fabrics in the blocks, I took a class on Brazilian embroidery, and they offered a kit each month.
So about half of them I didn't have any say in the fabrics. The other half my friend who owns the lqs told a few of us to choose what we wanted, So we did! It's awesome having a friend who owns a quilt shop
