I love all the comments! I always say what a dull world this would be if we all liked the same things! Even have my lil 5 yr old granddaughter saying that!

As far as fabrics, about half were chosen for me (in kit) and half I chose when my lqs owner/friend let me have free reign!

None of Mom's old clothes in it, years ago I made she and myself each Sunbonnet Sue quilts with many fabrics that my Nanny/Mom's Mom had used to make our clothes.

There are numerous pieces of vintage jewelry in it. Under the Christmas tree, the lil horse was a bobby sox pin Mom wore in the 50's. Also a lil bronze heart on the block with the big blue butterfly in the center.

On the Valentine block, in the center is the dearest piece of jewelry to my Mom. Its a silver heart, has "Always 21" engraved on the front, and "Love Always, Jim" on the back. My dad gave it to her on her 40th birthday.
I also put her 5 yr pin with rubies in it from her working at Levi Strauss back in 1970. And numerous brooches, earrings, charms that were her great grandma's, grandma's, and mom's. Planning to put her 25th year of being in Eastern Star on it somewhere, too..

My only issue now I'm just swimming with what to do...what to do...as far as sashing...lol... So, I'm off to keep embellishing..
Regards,
K
