What a treasure. I was going to suggest hands all around until I read below about turkey tracks. My Mom made quilts as well as several other cousins, aunts, etc., however, none of Mom's quilts have survived. Maybe that's why I started a tradition about 12 years ago of making a family reunion quilt when we would get together every other July 4th. I'm really happy that I did that, although I have yet to be a winner of one of them, but hope springs eternal. I keep trying to get my niece to take over and she said I'm not ready to retire yet, but I'm glad I started a tradition that is looked forward to at every reunion, my quilts go to the reunions, even if I can't.
