I make the mousse that calls for Dream Whip - only now I use an 8 oz container of Cool Whip! Tastes just as good. Also, in the junket section -- We had Danish Junket (Dessert) - loved it. I think they still make it. Raspberry with a dollop of Cool Whip - Sheer Ambrosia. I also liked sliced radishes and Miracle Whip sandwiches after a day at the beach!
And for those that live in the areas - WHITE CASTLES! I remember when they were 8 cents and then 12 cents and over the past 60 years, the price went up and now they are 43 cents - Gut Bombs, Sliders. My dad loved them. Said they were invented by a guy who put a little liver in the hamburger to make it healthy for children during the war when there was rationing (I remember that) . Whatever he did, we love 'em!!!!! Hot cocoa and buttered toast; pancakes buttered and milk and sugar on top. I could go on and on! But I never did particularly care for S'mores! Edie
