I agree!!! I make several charity quilts that use 4.5" strips which are pieced into one long strip. The triangles left when excess is cut off at the bias seams is used to make 12" throw pillows. Just enough from these lap sized ( 6 strips around a center rectangle) to make the front of the 12" pillow, and excess backing fabric used for the back.....The pillows go with the charity cancer quilts to the recipients....both washable, and the pillow makes resting the arm much more comfortable!!
