Do you have some thing that she has given you in the past that you can give back to her daughter? I love this type of gift the most. I have my great-grandmothers earrings. I have earrings from my friend in NM. A ceramic egg from a friend I worked with. Even if they say they don't want it, it was theirs and they loved it at one time and they have entrusted me with it now. Just an idea.
Love the idea but my buddies did not exchange gifts. We knew each of us had what we needed and wanted and preferred to go out to lunches and dinners and visit our heads off. Too much "stuff" . But still, a great idea nonetheless.
I have a few gifts that were given to my late Aunt given to her by my Uncle. She always put a sticker on each gift with the date received and who gave it to her. I love reading the labels. I enjoy a ceramic music box that my Uncle gifted her in 1981. Good memories of those two! I miss them. But I digress....
