You were smart to bag assemblies separate. If you have a leftover part it narrows down the search as to where it goes quite a bit.

Luckily I never removed the needle bar. But I did dissemble and remove the presser foot bar. On reassembly, I noticed a flat ring stuck to iron where the bar enters the bottom of the housing when it dislodged and fell out. Now it seems to hang up on an edge at the back and will not fall to the bottom or stay level. Here's a picture? Is it in the right place, or does it need to move the 1/3-inch to the bottom?

And will you please measure distance that the top of the bar is from the turn screw, and the distance the spring is from the bottom of the housing? Any helpful measurements of the presser foot bar area will be appreciated! THX.
