If you don't have anyone to show you directly how to start, I highly recommend all the videos that are available. I have watched ones on u tube and bought Craftsy videos. Also, MIssourri Quilt Company has great tutorials on all kinds of topics. You can learn a lot from them so don't be afraid to venture into these and good luck with the adventure.
