We used to spend a lot of time on the shore, our son worked at Kiptopeke, the state part just after you go over the bridge tunnel. Tangier Island, an island in the middle of the bay is very unique. You have to take a boat to get over there. There used to be a quilt shop and fabric shop not to far from Cape Charles on the main road that goes up the shore. It was full of over runs and older fabrics however years ago, they seemed to be good quality. As you go up the shore, right about at Cape Charles is a really good restaurant, Stingrays, looks like a gas station but the food used to really great, I always liked the grilled shrimp and my husband always ordered the flounder with crab imperial on top. Hope you all have a really good time
