Pam, I did make my own pattern. The patterns I found were the wrong sizes and the "logs" were wider than I wanted. So, I made my own with graph paper! :) It seems like on all the ones I found for free, the strips were all 1 inch wide and I wanted a bit smaller, but not so small I'd loose my sanity! So, I made them 3/4 inch and the block is 7 inch. I found some I could buy, but HA, forget that! I wanted the smaller strips because I'm using scraps, I didn't want anything to stand out too much.
