Ellageao - your ideas are super. We have had them at our quilt show boutiques off and on since 2005 - we sold the originally for $1.00 without tissues because we couldn't find inexpensive ones. I then found some and we sold the for $1.50 with tissues. The ones with bright or pretty fabrics seem to sell better - and they are also an inexpensive teacher give for the holidays. Or how about for those in assisted living - just as a nice little something. If anyone does machine embroidery, there are lots of patterns (inexpensive and more expensive) for really nice ones. Honestly, what sells at a bazaar or quilt show, one day or one year, May or may not sell the next. No rhyme or reason - but I'm definitely going to make sure we have some next year. And they are within the budget of young ones to purchase as gifts for moms, aunts, grandmas, etc.
