Here is my North Dakota for this week. Lyn I am in the same boat as you, start cutting some blocks ready for sewing and boy did my background fabric start looking sad. I have 4 more to cut to make 42 blocks in total and I have about 10 inches left, so I am going to be calling this one finished at 42 blocks.
Definitely not doing an Ocean Wave sashing on this quilt, my sashing is a simple 2 inch black with gold star points and a cornerstone in the connecting sash to create a small star. I really wanted white sashing with black and red tiny stars floating across the quilt but not enough background fabric so went with the black. Sometimes we have to compromise
