For future reference: Go to Singer site and search W999 and there are two manuals to download for free. This one covers multiple models and I believe it covers White, Domestic, and Singer model 988, 999, 101, 1210. If you look at the cover page of the download, there's also "445" scribbled on it.

I just rescued a Domestic model 999M, made in Taiwan. It's a freearm and the color scheme is almond with dark teal panel and knobs. There's a YouTube video of a White model 999 by NiftyThriftyGirl Rayna Morgan, and that White machine is almond, brown, and orange.
I don't
need another machine, but this one followed me home anyhow.
