I bought an HViking because of the bigger harp for quilting and when I started to sew I noticed there was no knee lift, however, it actually has a better system for the auto raise foot presser - when you stop it automatically lifts the foot about (???) 1/16 of an inch and you are then able to move the fabric if needed. I am Bernina all the way....I just couldn't justify getting a newer Bernina for the bigger harp when my Artista 180 (yes it's old) works great! The HViking was around $1000...not really sure...but I like it for doing my quilts. Good luck with your search.
