If you don't have to hem it, don't. I did a rolled hem for some window scarves once that I made out of tulle. It was an absolute nightmare. I used binding clips to hold the hem in place while I sewed, but it was still quite difficult. Plus, I wanted to match the thread as much as possible, so I picked up a 100% rayon thread, which only made things more difficult. It did look cute when it was finished, but those were countless hours of my life I'll never get back. :P
