The paperback edition came out in 1999. With illustrations and family history of collections and recollections of descendants....
I may be wrong, but I think most of the stories in that book have been questioned....and yes, I did read the book and also attended a presentation by the author....both were interesting, but now questionable. That being said....all quilt blocks have a history behind them.......pioneers in covered wagons tranversing this continent...lonely women on a prairie thinking of family miles away......etc......some happy, some sad......
