I accidentally ironed mine and it warped one end. I bought a new one and put the warped one on my ironing board under a bunch of fabric. I intended to cut it smaller, but forgot about it. When I finally gat around to cutting it (probably a couple of months) it was flat. No heat, no ice, no water--flat as the day I got it.
