Previously someone on the board showed her disappearing hour glass. Believe that person used her stash and cut the beginning blocks 9 1/2 inches rather than 10. That gave an amount easily divided into the 3 cuts. True, bias edges stretch but they also ease nicely. No problem in my sample blocks.
