Hi GailG, Yes, I do all my quilts on my DSM as that's all I have to work with. Smiles. What I do is quilt the tshirt design to it's backing before I put it into the quilt top. Then all I have to do is quilt the sashings and borders for the primary quilting. Then I just secure the edges of the tshirt blocks to the backing by quilting an outline stitch around each block. I don't use batting so securing it isn't an issue for me.
For this quilt, where several t-shirts are stitched together, I used a herringbone stitch and quilted over each seam joining the t-shirts and on the outside of each t-shirt block.
