I'm curious what decided you on a U-shaped device with three overhead bars and more clamps? Do you feel you get better control that way than if you only used two clamps? I opted for the u-shape for sturdiness as well as the ability to spread out the held item more and hold more weight. So far working great. Just used to put on the binding on a large quilt...really helped. We didn't glue the connections on the pvc pipe to give us many options for set up. Actually using four clamps right now as quilt is big. Thanks for your interest!
