Default Underground Railroad Log Cabin quilt block - #8
# 8 - LOG CABIN - The block may have indicted there was a specific log cabin in Cleveland that was a safe house, or it may have directed the runaway to build a log cabin to weather out winter and perhaps establish a permanent residence in a "free" area.
