A few of you posted to get a speed box or regulator for my juki. The regulator runs around $499. and the speed box around $59. I chose the speed box and it WORKS!!!!
Thanks to everyone, I can now quilt comfortably again. I usually do meandering, but now I think I can try feathers, and other things. Thanks so much friends! You're all wonderful.

A speed box is a small box that has a plug on one end which gets plugged in the foot pedal port. There are three buttons & a dial on the box. One button is "on/off" switch, one is a pulse & one is the thread cutter. The dial goes from slow to fast. I've seen it attached to the the "driving" arm. It sets up for a grace frame to quilt on a long arm type frame (if that makes any sense. I taped it by the top of my domestic machine. I use that like you would use a foot pedal. I just googled "speed box" & got it from a sewing supply store. The price was $59.00
