Besides she asked for opinions, she didn't say only those who have good or agreeing ones respond. Just like some say not to repair and some say do and others say do what you want. Which the latter is what I say. I don't think I'd take it all apart though. If the back isn't too bad I'd probably lay it flat and do a zig zag over the seams to hold them together and it'll add more quilting to hold all layers together so that it'll last longer.
Its so nice that not everyone has to agree or we'd all be very bored if we all liked the same things.
