Do a BLACK & WHITE quilt with 1 pop of color some place in the quilt. This will give a stunning look to most any pattern, but I would use a simple block. This was my first quilt that I fell in love with for my own personal use. Or you can make a simple pattern in your daughters favorite colors. You can put together the quilt of your choice (that you think she might like), for a later date (place a note and a name tag on it for your daughter encase you are unable to give it to her later).
