If you get the chance to get a hand crank machine get one. I don't think you'll regret it. The old ones that were designed as handcranks are beautiful even if you don't use it.

Edit: Mike you shouldn't have any trouble finding a "V" machine. "Y" and "Z" might be challenging though.
