Welcome from middle Tennesse here. Mine doesn't look nearly that good, but I use it ALL the time, so haven't even considered taking the time to re-do it (the cabinet, that is). My machine has the thread holder missing, but I just stuck a 10-penny (maybe) finishing nail in it, and it still hums for me when I am using it. I love those drawers, and I did figure out by myself one time how to take them out. The stuff in all the drawers and the stool even have that "old house musty" smell to it, but I guess I am so used to the smell that I don't notice it. We live in an old-timey farm house that has been remodeled and remodeled and remodeled, so I don't think it smells. Someone not used to the house might notice it, but I don't. The only time I might notice that smell is if I happen to open up a machine that I recently brought in and haven't cleaned up yet. Sometimes one of my kids will come in and say "you need to work on a machine, Mom--something stinks in here."
