Those both work so well
Modern and yet they have the look of classic favourites too.
I really like those, and they'd both make excellent gender neutral or very masculine quilts.
I think I'm going to have a shot at using the idea for a quilt I'm planning for my son. i have all the fabrics picked out, and over half of them are batiks.
