We have made absolutely no other changes to our home except for changing out the lightbulbs over 3 three years as the old ones burned out.
We are on equal pay electric bills (at the end of the year the actual usage/cost is divided by 12 and the following year's equal pay is based on that).
In 2011 our equal pay was 170.00
in 2012 our equal pay was 140.00
in 2013 our equal pay bill is 125.00 a month. We haven't gotten the notice for 2014 yet.
But that is a TON of money saved over the years going forward.
And the cost of the new bulbs has come way down and the seem to last forever. So far I've only had to change two bulbs and I think one was because I knocked over the lamp.
