Actually, I was being facetious. Missouri Synod sounds like Misery Cyanide~~~~ I am German on my mother's side and Swedish on my father's side. My grandparents on my father's side both came from Sweden. Grandpa and Grandma on my mom's side came from Wisconsin and came to roost in Waterloo, where my grandfather was the "Village Smithy". He had his own blacksmith shop!!!!!
I live in St. Paul, Minn, which is about give or take 25 miles from Hudson, Wisconsin. Appleton Wisconsin is where Aid Association for Lutherans Insurance Company was/is. Now it is Thrivent. I think it is now located in Minneapolis. Edie
