I have painted lots of pegboard for customers-never a complaint. ''''' HINT''''' paint the backside of the board it is porous and your paint will adhere to it better. And no matter which method you use to paint it -your paint job will last longer. But I've always used a 'cigar roller' -they come in either sponge or nap but I found the nap to be better. You can get these in any Lowe's type stores and even WalMart. Just ask a clerk in the paint dept. Just remember to roll out your paint gently. I find using canned spray paint is just to over powering, it takes my breath away even when using it out doors. Happy painting
