There really isn't much difference in binding a curved edge and binding a straight edge. I use bias binding for the stretch, and I don't pin or glue. I keep adjusting the fabrics so that the edge of the curve and the edges of my binding are aligned. Depending on the curve, you may have to sew a few stitches, then lift the presser foot to adjust the fabric, and you may need to sew a little slower. The bias will give you that stretch you need to go smoothly around the curve.
