Thanks so much for the nice comments. While I was making mine, I made a set for my sister-in-law and just delivered them. She was happy!
Some time ago I did download the free pattern, but for me, the Handy Heart pattern (that's it's name) is easier because the curves, dip and point are less pronounced. For something I'm going to make over and over, I don't mind paying for the pattern.
One thing I've learned is that a kind of mottled fabric, especially for the binding, shows the inevitable grease spots less.
